Sometimes I wonder if our office manager ever runs out of things to do. The reason for this is when things get busy towards the last 2 weeks of every month, he will go around and tell us what needs to be done.
Sure, one might think that he's just doing his job and I'm all for it - but the thing is, we all know how to do our job. Nothing has changed since the beginning of the new year. It's almost like routine already. We go through cycles of what needs to be filled in the order they always come in.
By the 15th of every month, we are aware that medications are being ready to be shipped out so they are placed in certain areas where it's easily accessed by our delivery team. Yet, somehow our office manager still continues to instruct us as if we're new employees and we don't know what the hell is supposed to happen next.
I thought all this time, that's all I've been doing. I can't stand having someone breathing behind my back and micro-managing what I'm doing. It affects the workflow and speed of my system, not to mention it gets me irritated to an already crowded work area where there's no consideration for safety or prevent any hazardous casualties from happening.
But I have to keep cool. Or do I dare wait for the other shoe to drop?
